This is our chronology in Ecay de Lónguida
They open a small bar in the village of Ecay de Lónguida, my mother's home village. It became the village bar, as the "Venta" had already closed its doors. Alicia, helped in the kitchen by her sister Charo, and my father Luis at the bar began to offer their "comidicas". My brother Jose Luis and I helped out at weekends and holidays.
I take over the Ecay bar together with my sister-in-law Isabel in the kitchen, which inherits the traditional, homemade style.
We opened the current EKAI RESTAURANT, that year we only enabled the bar and dining area.
We built the first floor of the current building. Here we have 12 double rooms, with two-star category.
We have 4 "superior" rooms in the attic, more spacious, ideal for families, and 4 single rooms.
We bought a warehouse in the Aoiz industrial estate and transformed it into the current UNTZEA RESTAURANT, dedicated to serving the industrial area.
We have joined the ASSOCIATION OF RURAL HOTELS OF NAVARRA-RECKREA. Its philosophy and way of understanding tourism in our community makes us fully identify with the brand.
We were pioneers in Aoiz when we registered the first TOURIST APARTMENTS in the town. These are the Pasaleku and Harinera flats. At the Hotel Ekai we introduced the Q for quality.
We became managers of the ZALDU RESTAURANT, in a beautiful enclave in the town of OROZ-BETELU. 2012 we joined the LOGIS ASSOCIATION. The great trajectory of Logis de France, its international potential pushes us to open new frontiers.
The ASSOCIATION OF RURAL HOTELS OF NAVARRA-RECKREA receives the REYNO DE NAVARRA TOURISM AWARD for its history, work and relevance in the field of tourism in our community.

We started to form part of the Federation of Rural Tourism of Navarre of the Association of Small Hotel and Catering Businesses in Navarre.
